"I really feel that I have learned to live again and it is totally down to Margaret.  She is kind, reassuring, positive, patient and committed to success - and I miss my sessions with her very much!  I would wholeheartedly recommend Margaret to anyone."

As a fully qualified Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, I gained my qualification in 2007 with Uncommon Knowledge, a company recommended to me as the best. And I am so glad I did. Uncommon Knowledge delivers training in solution-focused hypnotherapy to the highest standards; I was trained to treat every client as an individual and to structure sessions accordingly.

On completion of my Diploma course, I was invited to work as a Supervisor on the Uncommon Knowledge Diploma course the following year, guiding students toward their hypnotherapy qualification.  This was a very enjoyable time for me, I met great people and I improved my skills by advising and helping new students.

My training gave me great confidence in my work and I continue to subscribe to the Uncommon Knowledge way of working, utilising their training tools whenever I can to constantly enhance my skill base.

Since qualifying, I have been running a busy hypnotherapy practice from my home in Crawley, West Sussex, with most of my work coming from word-of-mouth referral.

The most enjoyable aspect and prominent feature of my career has been working with people.  As an employee of a major tour operator for 11 years, I spent 2 years selling holidays to the general public, 5 years as the company’s Customer Relations Manager and 4 years as its Training Manager.

I went on to work for Sussex Police as an Investigative Support Assistant, based in CID at Crawley.  This post was very satisfying for me as I learned about the legal system, I worked with a very caring and friendly team, my investigative nature was rewarded and my organisational skills were fully put to the test.  During my time there, I was awarded Divisional Congratulations in recognition of my commitment and support during an undercover operation.

Always motivated by a desire to help others, I am now in a position to channel my energies into hypnotherapy, which I find fascinating, rewarding and extremely worthwhile.  I treat a whole range of conditions, I am non-judgmental and I believe that rapport is the most important facet of working with my clients.

I have seen first-hand the positive effects of hypnotherapy, and how it can change people’s lives for the better, and I can’t think of anything more rewarding than that.

Based in Crawley, I cover the whole of Sussex and Surrey including: Copthorne, Crawley, Smallfield, Horley,
East Grinstead, Forest Row, Crawley Down, Turners Hill, Rowfant, Domewood, Redhill, Reigate.

(Some of my clients live or work in Chessington, Kent, London, Ireland, France, Germany, Vienna, Cyprus)
