Experiencing trauma can take many different forms, such as near death experience, assault, abuse, car crash, death of a loved one, an emergency situation, termination of pregnancy. Whatever the cause, if you are experiencing flashbacks or re-living the experience(s), or if thinking about that event causes feelings of panic or anxiety, you may be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Left untreated, PTSD can descend into depression and cause all sorts of anxiety related problems, like being signed off work, being on a short fuse, feeling depressed.

How Can Hypnotherapy Help?
I was trained in THE most effective technique there is to lift trauma and to put it in the past, where it belongs. I have helped many people to get past very painful memories and to go on to live their lives free of the ensuing panic and anxiety arising from those events.
Please be assured that treating trauma is done in a very comfortable, relaxed and dissociative way. I don't even have to know any details of the event if it is too painful or embarrassing to discuss. Besides, going over a traumatic event only dredges up painful memories and may cause distress or panic. We can use an agreed codeword or refer to "that memory" or "memory number one", for example, to refer to the event(s) under hypnosis, which I have done on a number of occasions.
We don't delete the memory but, after hypnosis, my clients say things like: they now have only a vague recollection of it thinking about it no longer causes anxiety it feels like a weight has been lifted they have returned to work their relationships have improved their lives are much more enjoyable and carefree as a result of hypnotherapy
